Some image file formats can store the image resolution.
In QuickTime 4, the BMP, JPEG, Photoshop, PNG, PICT, QuickTime Image, and TIFF graphics exporters support the resolution setting. If you do not set a resolution explicitly, the original image's resolution is used.
